Dear Friends,
I've got some problem and definitely need your help!
I've finished the design of RMI Server and tested it by using 10, 30, 50, 100 threads to do booking. Threads were created in a loop. Each thread built its own connection to Server. The results are:
10 Threads: booking OK;
30 Threads: sometimes OK; sometimes 5-9 threads not connected and RemoteException thrown (See below exception from testing);
50 Threads: always 10+ threads got connection refused.
100 Threads: only 30+ threads booked tickets successfully. Rest got connection refused.
I did the test in same PC. Any idea about what caused the following Exception? Thanks.

Yes the number of threads.
Actually many people have that problem, sometimes is the compuers available Ram that determines if a new Thread Process can be created.
Sometime people find a limit to the number of concurrent users on one RMI Server.
Don't worry to much about numbers above 5 users. If you can always get 5 connections you are fine for this assignment.

Thanks Mark. Just that some previous posts said testing with 100+ threads. However, your post make me a bit ease now.
