Hello everybody:
I am having problems with RMI. It is a little different in that it does not give me any exceptions. It shows me my old stuff.I have changed all the stuff it is showing and it should not be printing all that. I added a few println's on my new one and compiled it, generated stubbs, did all that but still it shows to the old println's. I even deleted all the old jar files. There is only one thing that I have done differently. After I compile the interfaces and after i generate the stubs, I fix the classpath in the environment variables. Could this be causing a problem, because the tutorial says that I should not have any classpath variable when starting the rmiregistry and by putting it in the classpath have I just done the opposite..?
any comments?

Could there be any class files or jar files elsewhere on your computer? They might be used instead of your newly compiled ones. You also recreated your jar too right?

Are you just rebinding to the registry or unbinding first?

On another thought, how did you guys test the RMI code? I am doing it on the same machine using different command prompts, just like they have done in Sun's java tutorial. This is not a real world test. What do u guys think? Should this be a definite no-no?
