Hi
I am certified with Java 2 Programmer and now confused where to go from here. I am thinking of to take Java Developer Cert or Java Architecture Cert. I have seen the growth of J2EE software as well as developers. I am 'familiar' with EJB architecture, experienced in JSP, JDBC, Servlet...I need your advice here, what are their big differences (in the industry)
Q1. Which one to take Java 2 Dev Cert or J2EE Architecture Cert ??
Q2. Can I take the J2EE Architecture Cert without taking Java Web Component Cert or Java Dev Cert ??
Q3. any other comments would be appriciated.
THANK YOU in advance

Well with your background, I'd suggest the SCWCD Web component test, you already hav ethe knowledge, and a little practice test should get you to pass rather quickly.
The Developer assignment is a great way to learn a lot about programming and OOP, but takes some considerable time to do the assignment.
On the other hand the Architect exam's first part you should od very well on quickly, but the second and third part also is an assignment and will take some time.
So you get to decide. Either way will work, there are no pre-requisites to take, which you haven't already completed.
