Data Server multiple .db files?

As far as I see there are 2 possibilities for the DataServer:
1)
To create something like a generic database server I think multiple .db files should be accessible via the server. The "DatabaseServer" could be bound to the RMI Registry with one name. So It could serve multiple .db files.
2)
On the other hand this is probably too much for this assignment. So one Table (i.e. one .db file) could be bound to the RMI Registry. (like Flights
what solution do you go for?
