when to schedule written test

Hi,
For those that have completed this certification/ now getting close to submitting-
Do you upload first and then schedule the test or
schedule the test and upload? Does it matter? I do realize I have to upload before I go and take the test but I am wondering when to schedule the test.

Upload first, and schedule after. Otherwise you might find yourself not ready to upload by the time of your scheduled exam.

On the sun's website http://suned.sun.com/GB/certification/java/certification_details.html#developer for purchasing the developer exam voucher, it says:
Prerequisite: Submission of the programming assignment
So I am not sure if you can purchase the vouchure BEFORE you upload your assignment anyway.

Even though it says that you can always buy the voucher before you upload, but my recommendation is to wait till right after you have actually uplaoded the assignment to call.
The Essay exam voucher is the only part of this certification that does have a time limit. 1 Year time limit but a limit no less.
The Assignment portion does NOT have a time limit.
