Do I need to do class versioning with serialver for the Serialization of Objects or can I let the system do automatic class versioning.

It's not in the requirements, so I wouldn't do it.
Just my $0.02, but I am not certified yet, so take it with a grain of salt.

You can usefully delay versioning until after the first release of an application so that makes it out of scope for the assignment.
