Is it normal for database file (db.db) record values to all be null from download?

I don't think so. You ether don't read the database correctly, or the database somehow got corrupted.

I can access file and successfully read field names and widths. But all field values appear to be null. I want to be sure that db.db file is corrupt before I ask SUN for replacement. I would like to send db.db file to someone with working project for testing, if possible.
Thanks all

Never mind. I was incorrectly accessing file.
I am sure this forum will be vital in project success and would like to thank community participation.
Thanks,
Robert
