Hello,
I've finished my assigment and I'm in the final testing phase. Everything works fine on Windows platform and now I want to test on another platform also.
I only have access to a Red Hat Linux machine. Is it enough to test it on a Linux ? Is the behaviour on a Solaris and a Linux the same or do I have to test on a Solaris also ??
Thanks
Johan

My assignement says:
A README.txt file. You must create a single text file ... the following information in exactly the order listed:
The exact version of JDK you used, including the platform you worked on.
Doesn't this mean they will test your submission on the same platform?
Charles.

I don't think so. It would be hypocritical for Sun to sue Microsoft for not supporting Java in Windows XP, and yet use Microsoft tools, would it not be? Chances are, your assignment will be tested on some version of Unix/Linux.
Eugene.

Then I have a problem.
My main JFrame window does not size the same way on Linux and Windows.
The code I used to set the size of the window is
On my Window machine the window is perfectly sized, on my Linux it is quite smaller, some of the Swing elements are hidden behing the borders of the window.
Do you have any clue?
Charles.
