Hi,
In order to write user document, I may need to get some picture of the GUI.
Does anybody know any good and free screen capture tool ?
Is there any good text or word document to html conversion tool ? I do not want to spend to much time in writing HTML user document.

Thanks,
John Chien

I use Paint Shop Pro, which you can get a trial version of to capture your screen. But there are many others out there, and some may be free.
I'd do a search for screen capture programs at Yahoo or Tucows.com here.
MS Word can make HTML pages just as easy as writing a paper. or just a Text editor, if you know HTML.
Good Luck

Mark:
Thank you for the answer.
I know that there are many free software free in the Internet. I have used some of them.
The bad thing is that I do not keep the record. After I use it, I forget it.
I think I will try to find any one that works. Since I do not use it a lot, anyone that works is fine.
About the HTML text converter, I noticed Peter suggested to use something called Tidy [I forget its name]. I did give it a try. However, it just likes a command prompt that does not accept command. Maybe I do not know how to use it.
I noticed that you suggest something called
HTML Beauty++ in other topics. I have download it
too. Besides of providing cool picture, it seems a HTML text editor.
I think I will use MicroSoft word and save it to a HTML file. Then, import it to HTML Beauty++ to verify. Certainly, I won't include cool picture. Because Sun's accessor won't give me more point for doing so.

Thanks,
John Chien

assuming you're using windows: do Shift-Print Screen, then fire up MS Paint, and do Edit->Paste, trim and clean it up from in Paint, save as JPG.
Poor man's Photo Shop.

MS Word will save as HTML (just don't look at it in raw form -- it's ugly)

Eric:
Thank you for the information.
I have already got a screen capture tool.
I went to www.zdnet.com.
Select the download, and search for "screen capture". I got a bunch of screen capture tool.
I just download one of them. It seemingly works fine.
I am using Microsoft Words to write my user document. As long as it can convert the word file to html is fine. The SCJD does not require us to have a pretty user document.
This is not a Web page design assignment.
Thanks,
John Chien
