Hi,
I've read Max Habibi's book "The Sun Certified Developer Exam with J2SE 1.4" where I studied the enclosed application on DVD's.
Is the DVD application representative of the level of difficulty that Sun requires of the application in order to pass?
Or is the DVD application at an easier level? Just giving a start as what it should look like?
/Laura

Hi Laura,
We designed the application to be right about the same level of difficulty, maybe a just a tab harder. Of course, depending on where your strengths lie, you may find it easier. The point was to make it so that, after finishing our application, you'd be ready for Sun's.

Yes, the DVD application is the closest you will find to the actual assignment. I'd say it is about 5-10% harder than the actual assignment.

Thanks for your answers! They were great news since I've been working with most of the concepts covered in the book in real world applications.

Hi Max Habibi,
I heard that there was no effort made in your book on design pattern selection. Is it true? If so, please help us posting an article on that

Hi Max,
I enquired with friends, and they told that. I decided to buy that. There is good rating given for that book, and itz ment exclusively for SCJD.
Good rating was given for chapters 2, 4, 6, 7, and 8.
Thanks for your prompt response.
