I am using JEditorPane for displaying Help. In which directory should I place the help.html file.Shall I place it in the user directory. In case of Network mode should the help file be read from server. Please clarify. Thanks.

well you can place it in any directory you wish. You could create a subdirectory from the launch directory or in the same directory. It is up to you.
The client help.html should be run from the client. What happens in local mode if you had it on the server? No Help for you.
