Hi,
Can any body tell me how to enable logging configuration in J2SE1.4 environment?
Hi Max,
I could not understand, where all the log messages are recorded. I run application mentioned in your book. I could not get where all messages are getting logged.

Hi Venkateswara Rao Gunturu
Can any body tell me how to enable logging configuration in J2SE1.4 environment?

Unless you have a requirement for it, you dont need it.
A very good description, including code samples, sample outputs, and a sample DTD for working with the output is on Sun's site:
http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.1/docs/guide/util/logging/overview.html

Hi Andrew Monkhouse,
Thankyou verymuch for ur advice. As such there is no requirement to use logging frame work. I had a small thought to implement logging framework in the assignment. Your advice is good, also Max says the same thing. Better I will drop the idea of using logging framework. Also I am not using channel IO (java.nio).
Thankyou verymuch
