Hi all,
I am at the very end of my assignment, and I need to wrap up all the pieces into a jar file.
What should be the name of the jar file, I am going to submit?
Thanks,
Marijana

Well you already have the client.jar the server.jar and any support jars that you need, they will all be jarred into the final submission jar which the name is basically going to be scjd plus your social seccurity or testing ID. The actual naming is given to you on the Cert Manager where you will be uploading the file.
Also check the SCJD FAQ in this forum, I believe one of those questions is your question.

thats assuming he/she's talking about the old assignment, the new assignment makes no mention of a client/server jar, nor does it tell you what to call your final jar, it only specifies that your executable jar(client and server) should be called runme.jar, beyond that you can thumbsuck.
unless of course its given to you when you upload and not when downloading

The upload file name is given by the Certmanager, and it will be the same as the old version.

The new assignment instruction says:
"The executabel JAR containing the programs.This must be called runme.jar."
My understanding is:
java -jar runme.jar alone //for local mode
java -jar runme.jar server //for netowork mode
//server
java -jar runme.jar //for network mode
//client
Please give your comments and suggestions.
Thanks.

Cool, but the final uplaoded jar will still be named according to what the Certmanager tells you. When this jar gets extracted ti will probably have that other jar in it of rthem to run.
