Hey, My voucher for essay exam expires on 31st of may. I have taken the appointment for attending the exam on 30th of may. I was hoping that I can complete the assignment by this date, but I couldn't work for a week and now Iam not confident that I can finish it by 30th. I have one basic question, can I still go ahead and attend the essay exam without uploading my assignment ? (if that's possible, Iam planning to upload the assignment by 10th of June) Please let me know asap. regards, -venky
I would say no to taking the test on May 30 and uploading on June 10. If you could upload the same day of the test or maybe within a day or two you might be OK. Sun has a terrible record on coordinating this certification anyway. I would guess if they received you exam before receiving your upload, you would get an automatic fail. If I were in your shoes, I think I'd pull some all nighters and get the assignment uploaded before taking the test.

Hi Venkatesh, Perhaps you should look at rescheduling? I had to ring Prometric yesterday (they had deleted my account from the web access!! - fortunately they fixed it within 2 hours), and one of the automated messages when I was waiting on the phone was a statement that I could reschedule up until 7pm on the night before the exam. Regards, Andrew
Hi Andrew, I think rescheduling the exam beyond the voucher expiration is not possible. When I paid the fee for the assignment, I planned to buy the essay exam voucher too. SUN education center convinced me not to buy the essay exam voucher at the same time because of expiration problem. On expiration issues, we better contact Sylvan Prometric. Regards, Ganapathy.
You must register for an exam prior to the expiration date printed on this voucher. Voucher expiration dates cannot be extended. Your actual testing appointment may be deferred for up to one year after registration.
So it should be possible to defer the exam. Regards, Andrew
thanks for your replies. I called the prometric, and came to know that I have to *Register* for the exam (in a prometric cente) before the voucher expires (which is one year after the purchase)..... and Iam allowed to reschedule for the exam anytime within a year after the voucher expiration date. effectively, we have 2 years to take up the exam after the voucher purchase. my advise for new bees is: 'Don't purchase the essay exam voucher until you are ready to upload your assignment' -venky
