java version

Stupid question...
I have several versions of the sdk installed (one came with JBuilder). How can I tell which one is actually being used?

followup stupid question...
it says :
C:\eclipse\workspace\suncertify>java -version
java version "1.4.1"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.1-b21)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.4.1-b21, mixed mode)
how can I tell for certain that this is not a beta version. I'm fairly sure that when I downloaded I didn't get a beta, but I wasn't doing certifications then so I'm not certain.

These seem like perfectly reasonable questions to me.
It looks like your version is ok. See Sun's naming conventions for more information.
Beta versions look like this:
The following output indicates a beta, maintenance release having a build identifier of 09.
java version "1.3.1-beta"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.3.1-beta-b09)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.3.1_05-ea-b01, mixed mode)
