Hello Gurus,
I will appreciate a lot if you could explain the following line to me. It appears in page 3 of 8 of Bodgitt and Scarper.
---------------------
The operaitng mode is selected using the single command line argument that is permitted. Architecturally, this mode must use database and GUI from the networked form, but must not use the network server code at all.
---------------------
Does this refer to the "server" and "alone" mode. The server mode uses the network configuration where as the client mode is standalone ?
Regards,
Suds

Hi Suds,
Welcome to JavaRanch.
Does this refer to the "server" and "alone" mode.

Yes. More specifically, it refers to when the "alone" mode is specified, in which case that paragraph and the preceeding one under the "Non-Networked Mode" heading will apply.
Regards, Andrew
