I know it's been asked a zillion times before, but a search doesn't reveal a complete answer - are there any more sample exam questions that anyone can "clue me in on" ? I am compiling a list in order to prepare:
- Did you chose RMI or Sockets, what are their advantages or disadvantages?
- How does a user pick their search criteria in your submission?
I am aware that the exam should be a breeze if I completed the assignment myself, however, I always like to prepare, regardless of the possible triviality.
I also saw a reference to a SCJD FAQ "at the top of this web page (a forum thread)" - where abouts ?

I didn't think it was that much of a breeze, yeah it was easy but I found it quite tough to remember some of my code.

Hi Tony Morris,
If you go back to the list of posts in this forum, just above the lists is a link to the Sun Certification Results forum and to the SCJD Links and FAQ Page.
The same applies to all the forums in JavaRanch - just above the list of postings is a link to the FAQ (if any) and to any other links that have been deemed appropriate.
We sometimes even have links at the top of the JavaRanch Big Moose Saloon page for things that are topical / of general interest to the entire JavaRanch community.
As for the questions on the exam - when you do the exam, you have to agree to Sun's non-disclosure statement. So those that have done the exam cannot provide you with the exact questions.
The exam is just to confirm that you wrote the code that you submitted. As such, all the questions will be along the lines of "which way did you implement", or "how did you do ....". If you submitted my code, then chances are you would not be able to answer the questions correctly. But since you did write the code that you have submitted it is almost impossible to fail.
Good luck with it.
Regards, Andrew

ok, thanks.
I wasn't aware of the non-disclosure agreement.
I'm one of those people who clicks on the "I Agree" button as soon as the browser loads it.
