+Pie Number of slices to send: Send
Hi guys;
I have a problem with my Networking. I am using RMI and I used DB interface as the interface that extends Remote class. In my data class I added the Book method, which is actually not included in the DB interface given by SUN. So my problem is that when I am in network mode and when I tries to book a record I am getting some stub related error. I know the error is because the book method is not in the DB interface, which is actually using to create the stub.
I tried different ways to get rid of that error. But none of them worked. So can some one help me to get out of that trouble.
Thanks in advance.
Roy.

Yes, stop right there and remove that book method from the data class. What if you want to use that data class to create PO's in the future, there is no booking in Purchase Orders. Book method is a business process and not a database function.
Do a search on our infamous Connection object design, and you will find that your Data class will not have the book method.
Good Luck.
Mark

Hi Mark,
Thanks for your reply. I am going through different postings now. I searched several times before. May be I choose wrong words for search. But I think I am ok for now.
Thanks once again.
Good Luck
