Hi all,
I am just developing the find dialog within my B&S app. I was thinking of using a Gridlayout but I have just found the new SpringLayout.
I have read that SpringLayout:
can emulate the behavior of most other layout managers

Does this mean I should always be using SpringLayout in all my Swing apps?
Thanks for you advice
Chris

No. You can, if you want - but there's nothing wrong with using the other managers. Personally I haven't used it much, but I suspect that while SpringLayout can emulate other managers, for at least some types of problems the other managers would be easier to use. It's pretty rare to find a tool that is really the best tool for every job. So use whichever managers seem suited to the particular task at hand.
