NX: Question about window's size

I am extending JFrame for the GUI, what size should I set it? How to set it to the maximum window size directly when it start? I think there're some methods to do that, but I don't know. Thank you.

In my assignment i've defined min and max values for the screen size and added a component listener to the constructor that listens to the resize of the window. It was something like folloes:

 
addComponentListener(new ComponentAdapter() {
  public void componentResized(ComponentEvent e) {
    int width;
    int height;
    Dimension dimension = getSize();
    width =  (dimension.width < MIN_WIDTH) ? MIN_WIDTH : dimension.width;
    height = (dimension.height < MIN_HEIGHT) ? MIN_HEIGHT : dimension.height;
    if ((width != dimension.width) || (height != dimension.height)) {
      setSize(width, height);
    }
  }
});

your not suppossed to post complete solutions so I will post the main
parts and this is pretty standard anyway. To get what you want
call

        Dimension d = Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit().getScreenSize();
        // Now you have the Dimension of the screen and you can manipulate
        // your window as you wish.  Its size, location..
        int x = (int) d.getWidth();
        int y = (int) d.getHeight() - 50;
        myWindow.setSize(x, y);
