I have found an interesting article concerning exception handling for multithreading.

Hi,
Thanks for the link, Ulrich. I thought I'd bring it more into notice as it
1. May help others,
2. References another, major threading book by Doug Lea with its own, perhaps simpler algorithm.
Doug Lea's web site is
http://gee.cs.oswego.edu]http://gee.cs.oswego.edu/]http://gee.cs.oswego.edu
and
http://gee.cs.oswego.edu/dl/classes/EDU/oswego/cs/dl/util/concurrent/intro.html
containing threading and synchronization classes of different types.
[Aside: If, by chance, you are like me, and did not know what a mutex was
(you can find it defined on the web via google), you may find Dog Lea's
Mutex class informative.]
Question:
Are the majority of people really going through these hoops, such as outlined
in this link:
http://www.javareport.com/java/articleold.asp?id=74&mon=8&yr=1998#
to mend, what appears to be, a "flaw" in the Java programming language
with respect to exception handling when using multiple threads?
Thanks,
Javini Javono

Hi Javini,
thank you too for the links.

I have really no experience concerning Multithreading and Exception Handling. I have followed the above way of problem solving. I don't know if I really will keep it but it's cool to get some experience concerning this problem. I probably will keep it, it works fine but I'm afraid due to the reasons mentioned in the other thread to complicate my application.
Greetings
Ulrich
