Trying to get a handle on this interface: Is it something like:

class MyRemoteImpl extends UnicastRemoteObject implements Unreferenced {

...... blah blah blah lots o methods .......
public void unreferenced() {
db.unlockALL() // removes all locks
}
}

Is it that simple?

Hi Morgan,
Yes, it is that simple.
You should be aware that you need a connection factory for this to work.
I suggest you write a simple application just to test this (totally separate from your SCJD assignment) - then when you have it working properly you can incorporate it into your SCJD assignment, or if you cannot get it working, you have nice simple code that you can post here to ask questions.
Regards, Andrew

Hmmmm .... may be a nice thing to play with, but I may just leave as is. Im beginning to feel ive gone beyond scope a little. Ive got the db and locking working well (assuming no client crashes), and wanted to start the network layer. But this is pretty virgin territory for me from a practical experience point of view and I dont want to over reach.
