Hi,
No, I have not passed the exam yet. (But, I am in
steamroller mode).
I was looking through my older posts one by one to find the
specific posting where Andrew gave me an Impossible Question.
http://www.coderanch.com/t/184840/java-developer-SCJD/certification/NX-Questions-deleted-records
I wanted to review this impossible question to see what it was and
to see if it was relevant to a problem I was solving with this
exam.
I looked through my older posts, one by one, until I found the
post of interest, and I now want to express my gratitude to the
many patient responses people gave, and to name a view:
Andrew, Phil, and George, and all the others who patiently read
through my posts and gave their opinions.
Thank you all very much.

P.S.
I have read, perhaps in NewsWeek or Time, that some tests are
heavily governed by context; I think this test may be one of those.
As an example, the statement, when I was first tackling these issues:

Locks a record so that it can only be updated or deleted by this client.

had a meaning which was totally not what Sun intended.
And, only recently, after I had adapted to the reality system, i.e., the
intended context of the project, I saw the above phrase and new
instantly what it meant, that it implied with absolute clarity that
you must implement a LockManager.
So, again, thanks for tolerating my lack of contextual knowledge,
and being so ever helpful.
