Hi Terry!
I'm so happy that you finally won your appeal, you really deserved it!
Congratulations, well done!
Mmh... It's the first time that it happens to me, everybody knows (Andrew included ) that I'd/ll hate to to it, but I'm expected to move this thread to the results forum...
Let's say that it's the weekend, that many people here are waiting for your result and that tomorrow is another day...
Now Terry, if you repost your results in the Sun Certification Results forum, edit this thread's title in something like "I won my appeal: 354/400" instead of "Passed SCJD - 354 / 400", and add here links to your three appeal threads, I just bet that this one will stay here.
Best regards,
Phil.

Hi Terry,
Congrads!
I guess the grader who failed you got dranked the day he/she marked your assignment. He/she should be fired by Sun.

My gut reaction to the "fired" comment above was YES - they should be fired. However, now that I've been able to experience the elation of passing for about a week, my reaction has been tamed a bit.
My suggestions would be that Sun should do the following:
1. objectively define the criteria for auto-failure
2. realize that candidates pour their heart and soul into these assignments and treat them accordingly (one example - responding and keeping us informed as to what is going on in the appeal process)
In looking at the email trail that was finally sent to me by Sun, the dates show that it may have sat in someone's email for up to 5 weeks before they did anything about my appeal. Ouch - the painful wait. At least when it finally got forwarded to a different grader, their initial response was that they were inclined to pass me based on my argument.
We are all lucky though - it does seem as though they are fair in considering appeals based on all the cases documented out here on the ranch.
