I am worrying about the 48 hours rule that I didn't implement it or document it.
I saw Terry met the same issue, but will the appeal make sense every time?
How long does it take?
I haven't take the essay exam yet, if I want to re-submit, what should I do? How much does it cost?
I was really disappointed since I read Terry's "48 hours auto-fail"...

HaoZhe -
If I was you, I would not resubmit unless you really need to. Thankfully, I won my appeal. Just found out last night. Phil really layed out a case in that other autofail posting of mine how this really is not an autofailure condition. And when they posted my new results in the database, it said "Re-evaluation by Lead Assessor". So, if the lead assessor does not feel this is an autofail condition, it really must not be. Thus, to answer your question, I feel the appeal should make sense every time. We now have 4 or 5 people for sure that we know have passed with our approach.
I lost only 4 points in GUI, 2 points in General Considerations. I say who cares about those few points. IMO it's just not worth the $$$$ or the hassle to resubmit unless you absolutely need to. And trust me, I thought about just doing the stupid 48 hour logic and paying to resubmit many times. When I got really frustrated about not knowing the status or even if they were considering my appeal, I considered just giving up, giving in and paying to resubmit. But then I would get more irritated with Sun and more determined to fight them and not let them get any more money out of me for something so stupid.
And your other question about how long it takes - I sincerely hope my appeal case was the exception. I have read about other people's appeals in here and it seems like folks usually found out within a week or so. Mine took from 2/23 until 4/11. But, I guess it was worth the wait.
I wish you good luck and nerves of steel!!!
