Hi,
I would like to get information about taking the SCJD 1.4 exam. I am a SCJP 1.4 already.
I find that the assignment is something Sun gives to you to complete, and it involves using few API and also making sure it is very close OO application.
But I am not sure if there are any guidelines or tutorials, where I could get more information, and possibly some examples that are asked in the assignment.
Your reply would be appreciated.
Regards
Aruneesh

Hi Aruneesh,
I suggest you to read
The Sun Certified Java Developer Exam with J2SE 1.4, by Mehran (Max) Habibi. It's the best guide that I know for the SCJD exam and many people here use it as a reference. All aspects of the SCJD exam (data access, GUI, network layer through RMI or sockets) are deeply covered through the step-by-step development of a SCJD-like typical assignment. It's undoubtedly the best investment you can do as far as your SCJD assignment is concerned.
Regards,
Phil.
