Hi ranchers,

I dont't know exactly what this requirement means:
"Your user interface should be designed with the expectation of future functionality enhancements, and it should establish a framework that will support this with minimal disruption to the users when this occurs."

I have an MVC design for the main window. What can be defined as framework?
Please reponse.

Thanks,
Maria

I have got the same assignment and my instructions say the same thing, I htink what they are trying to say here is that while designing and coding the project we should not be worried about future enhancement, we can forget about that factor and second point is your GUI should be as clear as possible for the user, like if user sees the GUI they should understand what the screen is for.

Just my 2 cents.

Hi Mike/Maria

I don't think you can actually just forget about it! I believe what they are saying is you should desing your interface with future enhancements in mind, so if you had to add another frame or panel to add you would'nt have to change the layout much and it would be in keeping with the the functionality that the user has already learned.

Sorry, my bad...I agree with Phil. I was actually reading it as 'exception' as oppose to 'expectation'.

Thanks a lot for clarification.
