Hi Klass,

Have you been following the comments in the thread GUI 29 out of 40!!!?

What do you have in your "File" menu? Just an Exit option, or do you have the connect / disconnect options as well?

Personally I would move the connect / disconnect options to a toolbar - something that indicates that this will change the mode of the system. At the moment, they appear to be a part of the standard booking of a flight.

I would also consider having some text on the screen indicating that the user should select which flight to book.

Regards, Andrew

A few points:

- numbers and currency should be right justified
- the menu should include File, Edit and Help
- Help should tell the user where to get help if it doesn't actually provide it.
- Help should include a Help and About item.
- File should include network Connect and Disconnect, and Load and Save Profile items and Exit
- Edit should include the Search and Book items

Thanx Andrew and Peter for your feedback !

My Menu still needs to be finished, and I agree with most of your items.
Peter, what do you mean with "Load and Save Profile items" ? What kind of persistency, apart from the datafile itself, should be provided ??
The rest of your points are clear, thx again :-)

Regards, Klaas

Klass,

If you have made changes to the properties you may wish to do one of the following:
- reload them because you know another program saved them
- reload them because you don't like the changes you made
- try them out without saving them
- save them immediately
- wait until shutdown to save them

Without load and save menu items you are forced to shutdown and restart to save the properties or save them immediately without being able to try them out.
/peter
