Icons (.gif) are used in application. Is it allowed for submission? If so where can i put them? Regards.

You can use icons, I designed my own using Photoshop, there are also numerous icon editors. Sun has published a collection of icons in the Java Look and Feel Graphics Repository, these are probably safe to use if you give credit. DO NOT use icons taken from other products or off the web.

You should store your icons in your runme.jar file and use code like

to read them in.

I personally created two images myself using fireworks, one for the header and one for the frame icons. I got three buttons with images from Sun's image repository.

Just my 2 cents of opinions
