I want to use serializable object in RMI, such as RecordObject.

Because in my assignment have this segment:
You have a choice regarding the network connection protocol. You must use either serialized objects over a simple socket connection, or RMI.

The 'or RMI' isn't clear, I don't confirm whether use serialized objects in RMI too???

Please help me. Thanx first.

All objects sent across RMI must be Serializable, if you were using Sockets you would need to get your objects serialized by using something like ObjectOutputStream. With RMI the system takes care of the serialization.
