Hi Ranchers!
I am considering changing over from my facade design to using adapters.
I have a typical MVC in my GUI. And want to have a DataAdapter as my model. DataAdapter will have an instance of either DataRemote- or DataLocalAdapter classes which adapt the Data.java class depending on mode returned by my DataAccessFactory. The data class implements the BDAccess interface.

Can someone give me an idea if Im going in the right direction?

Andrew Monkhouse and Bharat Ruparel have had very interesting ideas maybe they could also comment this

Hi Jae,

Using either an adapter or a proxy for your model can work. I would not normally expect to see a facade used for the model though, so you are probably on the right track in changing your pattern.

You probably should try and avoid asking specific people for help - others in this forum might feel that they should not answer, and you may miss out on some otherwise brilliant posts. Likewise you may may be waiting a long time for an answer (Bharat doesn't post as often in this forum any more, and I won't have internet access for the next four days).

Regards, Andrew
