There've been a few members on here who've implemented record caching and got good marks and there are others who've not implemented record caching and got good marks. So the choice is up to you
is it true? and do u guys get the records from file directly even when you perform read or search? actually, my approach is to store the records into a 2 dimension Array after start up finished, and in the readRecord/updateRecord/deleteRecord method I will refresh the 2 dimension Array first(get data from file), then retrieved record from it base on the record number(index of the 2 dimension array). is it a right way?
BTW, I don't implement any lock/unlock method when doing the read/search.
