Ok I think I am almost done...one question, kind of an MVC thing.

I have a GUI, a configGUI (to set db and/or port) and a Data class that implements DB access (and some other minor classes, irrelevant).

Is it grotesquely wrong to pass an instance of the Data class in to the GUI?

Just wondering...

Thanks

L

ah, so what I have is an the DBAccess interface on the server side, but the creation of a DB instance, and the loading of the data from the DB into memory, on the client side.

is this ok?

Hi Lucy,

What do you mean that you are "loading of the data from the DB into memory, on the client side"?

Does this imply that after the data has been loaded once, all subsequent searches will be performed on the client side cache? If so, how do you get updates when a different client makes a booking?

Regards, Andrew
