guys,
i started the assignment thing and reading and refering all related details.
Well i have a question in the n/w aspect of the assignment.

the assignment gives a choice of using RMI or sockets in implementing.
i am choosing RMI, well in that case we need to run the rmiregistry executable (supplied with the JDK), this is another step and the submission does mention about just a command line with one additional <Mode> argument.

How will i be able to run rmiregistry with in my executable runme.jar jar file ? with out having the user or installer to perform additional step ?

all replies are greately appreciated.

Thanks ya all

No, we don't need it : have a look at LocateRegistry.createRegistry()

And have a look at

Javaranch names policy too
