RMI CallBack?

RMICallback...
Need a bit of help or advice with this scenario. When a client change the tableData in a database (updating a record or creating a new record), Using RMI how is possible for the Server to notify all the Other clients that table data as changed for them to update their table.

Your server can also take client threads to a waiting state and notifyAll when he wants to return their previous calls...

There are several ways for doing that:

Also you can wait client threads server side and notify when you want to make the callback...
Any way IMO notifying clients from server it's out of the scope of the assignment.

Hi Abiodun,

As Oricio mentions, there is no need to do this in the assignment.

A few days ago Swapnil was looking into this, and has been kind enough to list a few links in "Handling CallBack or Broadcast in RMI". If you are still interested in this technique, then I would recommend that you look at those links as a first step, then ask about any part that is not clear.
