how to open database file

I am new to java batabase.
From the document, I found a db-1x1.db file.
Can anyone teach me how to open this file?

Download a hex editor and take a 'peek' into the file. This will be of great help to understand the sructure and content of the file.

Assuming you are using windows, the quickest way is to open a dos window, type:

c:\yourfolder\>debug db-1x1.db

Once in debug mode, type a d commmand like this:

-d
