Hello Ranchers,
I need help in starting rmi without the command line inputs. However, I know how to start rmi programmatically, but how do I include the location of policy file when starting the program without command line inputs.

thanks.

Hi Abiodun,

Take a look at LocateRegistry.createRegistry() and LocateRegistry.getRegistry(). Those should help you in starting your rmiregistry programatically.

As far as a policy file goes, my instructions explicitly state that I should not require the use of a SecurityManager so I cannot help you there.

Kevin,
Thanks a million. That works well.
