problem running .jar

when i try to run a jar app called "sand7.jar" i run it like so
java -jar sand7.jar and then it gives me an error msg
error: BApplet <appletname> does anybody know what im doing wrong?

If you're writing an Applet, you can write a HTML file that contains it by using the tag <Applet></Applet>, specify the codebase in HTML file, the main class in your Jar file's MANIFEST file.

If it's just an application, check if the main-class in your manifest file is correct.
