Is CheckStyle SCJD Code Convetion Best Practice?

I found that Check Style 4.0.91(checkstyle.sf.net )has a built-in configuration "SUN Checks" , Does anyone know whether it suitable for SCJD???

Hi Everybody

Can somebody tell me what Check Style 4.0.91 exactly means?
I am new here and will soon start with my SCJD-Assingment.

Googleing a bit I found out by myself what checkstyle is. :roll:
Seams a great thing to me!

but how to use it? Install?
I use eclipse 3.1..

I wouldn't trust Eclipse 3.1 formatting, since I have already seen too many identation and wrapping problems. I'm also using it, but I'll have to revise it manually.

You can choose:
eclipse-cs.sourceforge.net
or
checklipse (use google)

Yeah, I have a problem with eclipse too. When there are long lines it goes like

file.
callMethod(SOME_PARAMETER1, SOME_PARAMETER2);

These line breaks looks very bad and I am too lazy to reformat it myself. Are there better templates to format sources?

CheckStyle only audits your code instead of formatting code. It's better than nothing. I use Eclipse all the time and the built-in formatter of Eclipse is not good enough for SCJD, I think.

They just broke it up, since it was great in Eclipse 2.1... But since 3.0 it just don't do as I want, no matter how much time I spend on configuration.
