loopback networking?

hi there...

i downloaded my assignment few days back...i got URLyBird 1.1.2...am going through instructions...

i purchased Andrew Monkhouse's book...i have completed scjp...i have no programming experience...

please feel free to answer the following...

1. wat is the meaning of 'loopback networking'...these words are in the instructions file...

2. wat is the meaning of "traditional client server system"...

3. is it ok to exactly follow the way sample project(given with the scjd booke, i.e. DennysDVD)is designed and implemented....

any suggestions?

1. loop back networking - Server and client lives in the same machine and you your client is connecting to localhost. The assignment doesn't want your application to make a remote connection when the database right there.

2. Traditional client server? One machine has a server, one machine has a client that can communicate with server.

3. Yes, designs are almost identical, you should follow the book
