[B & S] Network Communication Appr.

In my Application Submission (instructions.html) there is a statement that is a bit unclear to me. It is at the Network Communication Approach section:

"...Keep in mind that networking must be entirely bypassed in the non-networked mode..."

What is supposed to implement or regard with such phrase?

when running standalone you are not allowed to use any networking at all. So not starting a server in the background and connecting to that over RMI or sockets, but rather do it all in-process and use regular method calls.
