I am again stuck in this 48 hour rule. I choose to use the 3 tier architecture, so I choose to hide the Data methods behind a Client. My Client is relative simple, it contains only book&search methods. But because I choose to keep the time rule(48 H) on the server I need to know - on the client side - which records are "bookable" and which not.
For this I try : 1.a isAvailable method on the server side 2.two kinds of "get/search" methods(e.g. getRecord and getAvailableRecord), the first returns all the record and the second one only the bookable one. 3.a transport object for the get/Search methods used to encapsulate the record, its id and the "bookable"/"not bookable" flag. 4.to access the server rule instance from the client side.
Right now I use the 2'th solution but I am not so happy about it.
How is on you guys ? How you transport the bookable/unbookable information from one side to the other ?

The easiest way would be to only send the bookable records to the clients, so any record in the client's table would be bookable. Also do a check when the client books a record, just to be sure. [ July 05, 2006: Message edited by: Roy Mallard ]
