DBMain.java interface, it just says that returns
the recNo(record Number) when you find and etc.

When the client requests the data or find data, which is correct,
The server returns the recNo? or Hotel OBjecct??

I simply thought that The Hotel Object should be transfered.

Plz, give any tips.

The choice of the object you return depends on your system design.

If your clients calls the database over the network, then you must transfer the datatype specified by the interface in your assignment.

If you decide to implement a serverside business logic layer, to handle client access to the database, you have the choice as what objects to tansfer over the network.

Please note:

There has been controversy as to whether the second option is a valid implementation of the assignmet. Some readings of the assignment suggests that you have to make your database directly accessible over the network.

IMO the second option is by far the better design choice, I chose to implement my SCJD with a serverside business logic layer, thus not making the database directly accessible over the network.
