"All configuration must be done via a GUI, and must be persistent between runs of the program. Such configuration information must be stored in a file called suncertify.properties which must be located in the current working directory"

anyone could explain to me what does this mean"must be persistent between runs of the program"?

does it mean i must display the connect information last time, or just record down these information to the file 'suncertify.properties"

Hi, I also just started working on my assignment.

I think:
When the application exits, the configuration info (URL/port used, location of the database file (in local mode), frame's location in the screen, size, etc.) should be saved to the properties file.

When it runs next time, the config info is retrieved from the properties file so, for example, the application's frame is positioned/sized as it was in its the previous run, the "server connect" dialog will display the previously used URL/port in the appropriate fields and so forth.

Regards,
Chulwoo
