Can we modify the interface? (URLyBird)

I've got an interface with the URLyBird assignment. The methods for lock and unlock are void and take only the recordId. But only the client that locks can unlock. Am I allowed to change the interface to lock(int recId, int clientId)?

no, you MUST implement that interface as it stands.
You can of course extend it, but that does of course not allow you to change any record IDs.
 
Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
