Hello guys,
I'll start SCJD in some days, do you think its crazy to hope i can finish it in 4 months?
Im a student...and I combine the scjd with my end study work...normally my defense at school is end june...
Am I dreaming? I can work on it every day and I'm a hard worker...
I already red SCJD(Apress) and I developp a lot at school with java. I know pretty well Swing but the RMI or sockets never used. The database connection is also ok.
See you,
Arno
ps: may the force be with us

4 months is more than enough if you work on it regularly. As you will observe from several posts here that actual code/number of classes is not huge. If you spend a month in just reading relevant material and designing your implementation properly, you can finish the rest of it in a month.

But make sure that you do some small coding exercises involving RMI and swing before starting on your project. This will give you a better idea about how to design the project.
