I've been having a terrible time trying to submit my assigment. (Not that it matters, but I'm doing B&S)

I log on to the certmanager db,

select Test History -> Assignments ->

Select Sun Certified Developer Assignment for Java 2

Click 'Upload', and it says I do not have upload rights. I have emailed:

[email protected]
[email protected]


Sent 9am wednesday. It's now friday afternoon, and no response - I've tried to submit again, but nothing. I've also tried calling Sun, but I haven't been able to get a real person on the line.

Any suggestions?

It would help if you chose a more meaningful topic title.

Note that Sun's FAQ says:

What do I do if I'm having trouble uploading my exam assignment?
If you are having trouble uploading your assignment, send an e-mail message to [email protected] with your order confirmation number you received at the time you purchased the exam. Upon receipt, we will send you new permission to upload your assignment.



Did you do that?

All I can suggest is that you repeat the sending of the information.

I sent a brief email to thompson (not Sun)and they reset my permissions within a few days. Did you include your student number (srxxxxxx)in the email as they would need this information to reset the account.

You will get a reply eventually, perhaps emailing again would do no harm.

Call Sun's sales line for Certification sales. Sales lines always get you to humans quickly. Then tell him / her that you were transfered to Cert. sales because your cert purchase was not recognized by the site. Once they confirm your cert purchase they will feel obligated to stick with you until you get through to a live tech support person.

The problem with that uis that it is not Sun who own the database though it belongs to Thompson Prometric. They only send the submission files onward to Sun after you have completed the essay exam.

Send an e-mail to Shareon, at [email protected], relating your problem.

In mey case, there was not the option to upload my assignment. I sent an e-mail, and they fixed it. Now this option is available to me.
