Hello!

For the URLyBird application, do you think it is logical to show the table populated with data on load?

My problems with answering that question come with the fact that we must build a functionality that allows the user to pick where the database is located. So should we have a blank table, and then the user locates the db, and then it populates itself?

Also, will the examiner actually run the client on one computer, and server on another?

Any light on my problem?

Thanks!
David Pham

P.S. Sorry for the dumb questions!

>> Yes, you have to prepare for this.

Thanks!

Also, when the user selects where the database is located, how can I restrict it so that JFileChooser only accepts it if the name is "db1x1.db".

Then, how can I make it so that after they pick a location with JFileChooser, the absolute path of the location is populated in a JTextField?

Thanks,
David Pham

Hawdy,
Choosing the DB file should be allowed in standalone and server, not client ... right ?
I mean when you run the application for as client you can only choose the server/ hosting computer, which can be done as a supporting properties file.

or did I miss something ?
