Hi,
I have some questions regarding SCJD (please be patient for stupid ones too ).

1) Is it possible to use Test Driven Develoment technics?

2) So far I understood that the exam required the data management from scratch, not using a database. We have to build our own system, just to face problem like locking, concurrency, ...
Do I well understood?

3) Linked to question 2: Hibernate or other ORMs are allowed?

4) Did you use maven or similar to manage your project?

5) Is it right that the amount of time for the project is about 120h (for a medium skilled programmer)?

Thank you very much,
Nicola

1) Are you talking about Junit, or similar? It is yes, but I would probably take that stuff out before submitting.
2)I think you are on the right track. You will probably use Random Access File to access the database file. There are a lot of excellent posts on that topic. Get a hex editor, too, so you can see what you are working with.
3) No. No Spring or Hibernate. It is not needed. You are working with a file.
4)Yes, well maybe. A lot of people use Ant, and I plan to, as well. Maven is pretty similar, but I'm not totally sure how much so. But I know Ant has been used successfully.
5) Time varies greatly, depending on past experience and how much free time you have. That sounds like a good ballpark number though.
