Hello everyone,

I did some search about is it possible to write to a jar file, and it seems that it is not possible (check it).
Here is the issue:
Log directory is located at the same level (directory) as the jar file.
in my submission jar file (the bigger jar file) I include log directory so no worries.
But what if this application is to be downloaded and the user needs logging then the user will have to create log folder manually in order for the logging to work!

is there any work around ?

thanks

Hi,

If I understand correctly, you added the directory "log" in your "outer" jar.

I'm not sure what other think about that, but I personally package my jars exactly like specified in the requirements, not a single file more or less.

Following that, I would just create the logfile at the same level as your runme.jar.

My opinion.

Regards,
Alex
